Aca Nastasić (born as Aca Balthazar) is a half-blood Syldavian witch and a member of the Iron Rose Clan. Having lost her father at sea, Aca faced Muggle prejudices for her abilities from non-magical younglings growing up, her wellbeing being the major factor in the decisions made by her mother Neven when she decided to support the Dragon Lord over the Syldavian Ministry of Magic in the Global Wizarding War, then joined the remnants of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, who's refuge the two joined. As a result, Aca began attending Pinewood Prep alongside other young wizards, allowing her to make friends and enjoy a normal childhood for the magic, once spreading word of a school fundraiser with several classmates.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Losing her father[]

Aca was born in a coastal village to the muggle fisherman Dirk Balthazar and his witch wife, Neven, in Spring 2012, during which the battles of the Global Wizarding War were on as with every day, the Dragon Lord and his Death Eaters - known among their supporters as 'the Resistance' - garnered further attention and followers to their cause of creating a world without borders. In the fishing village, however, Aca's mother Neven was the only resident that could perform magic, a fact that earned her the resentment of neighbours. Tragedy struck the family, however, when while on a sailing expedition, Dirk was caught in a deadly storm that he lost his life in, leaving Aca and Neven which his hat, which they both once held together as they quietly mourned his demise and found comfort in each other, although Aca continued to miss her father.

Her father perishing when she was young, Aca was therefore raised by her mother, Neven, alone

Now a widow, Neven subsequently chose to retake her biological surname of Nastasić, which was also given to Aca, a decision that did not sit well with the rest of the fishing community, who were set well in their customs. Neven, in addition, was regarded with suspicion by bigots who placed the blame for any misfortune they suffered directly on Neven's shoulders simply because she was a witch. This dislike extended to Aca, who had inherited her mother's abilities and as a result, Aca was shunned by other children at their parents' insistence, leaving her initial childhood one of isolation where her both raised her singularly.

Joining the Iron Rose Clan[]

Aca's wellbeing was a first priority for her mother and as a result, Neven chose to support the Dragon Lord in his revolution to take over the world in order to return it to it's people and enable wizards to live freely in their 'own skin', even though Neven held reservations about some of the acts taken out by the radicals and admitted after news trickled in of how the Dragon Lord had resorted to sending a message to his enemies by bombing a GRC Supply Depot that had it been a choice between giving such an order or losing Aca, should would have pressed the button herself. Ultimately, it was this love that provoked Neven to take up the offer of a place to belong among the Iron Rose Clan, a community-like remnant belonging to the Death Eaters of the fragmented Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät formed as a holdout that offered to witches and wizards a place where, as the Dragon Lord had promised, they could live a life of magic without the restrictions of needing to hide. Neven, knowing neither she nor Aca had anything in their home, subsequently packed up their lives and departed the village with Aca in their packed, horse-drawn cart for where the Iron Rose Clan was situated at the base of the Zympathian-Wladrujan Mountain Range, where they would join the Clan as converts that resided in the community they had established.

Making a home for themselves, Aca Nastasić was subsequently enrolled by her mother into one of the local educational institutions for children, Pinewood Prep, where Aca found herself for the first time making genuine friends and companions with those her age, a piece in life she had never previously experienced because of the prejudice levied towards her mother Neven by the adults of her previous village, which had caused Aca to develop a defensive mindset against the non-magical people. Aca was enrolled in the local Arrowsmith Program to further improve her mathematical and writing skills, as well as also joined the 'Iron Guard' School Club, which raised school money through various fundraiser plays that reenacted some of the greatest victories of the Empire of Night. One of these plays was to be hosted on the night of the full moon that month and along with several other members of the club, Aca, dressed smartly in a mulberry purple blazer trimmed with gold lining, with a light grey beret, gathered with their teacher at the curb opposing an art gallery, from where she gave a perfect example of the Dragon Lord's salute, then set about handing out fliers to passersby, including Gaia Cech, who accepted it with a grin.
