Alcott Charlton is a Syldavian half-blood dark wizard and well-known business tycoon that lived inside the wizarding population of the country, his corporate holdings belonging a multinational conglomerate that had ties with exterior sources. Working beneath an alias called The Gentleman, he lived the double life as one of the principal leaders of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, a fifth columnist movement active within his homeland that had been founded from the Death Eaters, and Charlton plotted with them to agitate stoked tensions throughout the Syldavian state for a coup d'état that intended to ousted King Muskar XIII from power. After the insurrection of the Z.Z.R.K. collapsed from the exposure of the organization and the majority of its members, he was presumably apprehended in the following arrests and imprisoned in the Abyss.

Biography[]

Early life[]

A native resident of the Balkan Kingdom of Syldavia, Alcott Charlton belonged to a house that included the blend of both wizards and those who lacked the talent to practice magic. Though his direct heritage is unknown, the No-Maj relations were close enough inside his direct ancestries for Alcott to be considered a half-blood. Much like a number of the witches and wizards who either lacked a close relative to mentor them in their arcane powers or were born to parents that wished for their children to be provided with a greater education in magic that they themselves could provide, Alcott was instead enrolled into one of the various institutions that served to instruct the next generations in the proper practice of their gifts; in his case, Charlton was sent to Beauxbatons Academy for Magic, where he studied before returning to Syldavia. Resuming a residence within his homeland, he proceeded to construct a business around himself that was best centred around the manufacture of broomsticks, which the corporation sponsored the production of throughout the Kingdom of the Black Pelican, utilising its wealth to later building a foothold with other companies that created the common mode of transportation for wizards. Though Charlton Flyers Consortium was not the sole industrialist to create brooms inside the Syldavian state, thanks to the inroads that their chairman had been able to make with their earlier stages, it had been able to secure lucrative contracts with parties like the national Quidditch team, selling them the latest models of broomsticks on several different occasions. Furthermore, the business firm was also able to form links to different sources inside other states that had trade alliances with Syldavia, allowing Charlton to secure woods from countries like Great Britain and Russia for his products. Fascinated with broomsticks himself, Alcott collected many unique, rare and antique ones, the favourites of which he kept displayed upon the walls of his residential home, while the rest hung from the roof of his corporation's headquarters.

Z.Z.R.K. Leader[]

Division Leader[]

However, though he presented himself as a rich but nonetheless respectable businessman, Alcott Charlton came to become an individual that harboured clandestine support for the ambitions of the Dragon Lord, believing in the ideals that the revolutionist who denounced the concepts of separate nation advocated for. As a result of his sympathetic emotions for the ideas of bringing forth the united world that the Dragon Lord championed, Charlton took the dark mark to become one of the Death Eaters - the followers of the dark wizard - and accelerated upwards through their ranks to assume a chair within the leadership of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, a localised chapter of the movement that had their roots inside the Kingdom of Syldavia, seated with others on the roundtable who belonged to the leadership, thereby betraying his king and country in the process. Opening numerous assets of his business to operate for the benefit of the Death Eaters as the Z.Z.R.K. prepared to mount a militant opposition against King Muskar XIII, who Charlton and those like him aimed to depose in a sudden move that could allow them to orchestrate the annexation of Syldavia with Borduria, where the Death Eaters had already seized underground control, thus placing both countries under their control and allowing them to mould the merged states into a single regime that would be establish beneath the will of the Dragon Lord and his dreams for a world that lacked the restrictions of borders. Such a nation would further serve as a foothold for the Empire of Night when the time came for renewed combat between enemies and followers of the Lord of the Dragons, with the latter seeking to claim what their beliefs had deemed was rightfully theirs, envisioning themselves as the pioneers to a new era.

Guests bow before the Dragon Lord

A devoted acolyte of the Dragon Lord and his ideology, Alcott Charlton therefore came to become a member of the Worshippers of Night, who venerated their master and his power to the brink of zealots.

In addition to efforts made with the aim in mind being to undermine and seize control of the countries their movement operated inside, certain members of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät would frequently hold ritualistic gatherings between themselves and the prolific members of fellow divisions to restore their master back to power on Earth, as the Second Global Wizarding War had concluded in him being banished through the portal and back to his territory in the Otherworld. Seeking to return, or at least serve, their part-human lord, Alcott and his allies routinely carried out ceremonies where each would select a concealed stone from within a silk bag; whomever drew the white stone would be sent through a portal that linked their dimension to Mirrorlands where their master awaited them. Those that were designated as sacrifices were sent through the portal with the intent to serve their idol with his mission to establish global peace through conquest and unification, although Charlton never chose the stone that would sentence him to such a fate. Attending numerous events that involved this selection, Alcott came to know and harboured respect for another worshipper known as Wilfred Malick, who had the faith that Charlton credited as one of a true believer and the two men became friends over the decades. As a result, when Wilfred succumbed to death from natural causes and passed on to the next life, Alcott Charlton travelled to Malick Manor, where a funeral was held for those that had followed the same doctrine as the late Malick to offer their respects to the great man. After the conclusion of their vigil, Charlton then departing from the mansion in his limousine after stopping at the entrance to express condolences to Nathaniel and Gideon, claiming the death of their father was one that had been premature.

Several cycles afterwards, Alcott yet again became a visitor of the Malick home, where acolytes of the Dragon Lord had gathered to meet and perform another sacrifice and he spoke with another believer that belonged to the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät before the event commenced. As those assembled were called to order, Alcott took his seat at the dining table, eating, then discussing the current activities of the Death Eaters with his peers before finally rising with the others to partake in the selection. Standing beside Amira Dante with hands behind his back, Gideon observed the older man inhaling a long breath as he rummaged within the bag given to him, selecting a stone, then passing the bag to Amira while his selective hand remained clenched into a first. As the final worshipper took a pebble, Charlton and the other disciples of Night opened their palms in unison, revealing Alcott had chosen one of the black stones and thus been spared. Turning to scan the room, Charlton's gaze came to rest of Nathaniel, who found that he had chosen the white stone, and watched without emotion as the younger man was led towards the Monolith Chamber, gathering with the rest of the inner circle to watch the door close behind Nathaniel as he was locked in, though he observed Gideon Malick with a slightly quizzical fashion, curious as to what the last words their sacrifice had spoken to his brother meant.

Insurrection of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät[]

Making Plans[]

Alcott Charlton: "The kingdom is vulnerable but we must be cautious. And show no sign of our true strength."
Kelemen Gábor: "Easy for you to say, 'Gentleman'. There's a fortune to be had, plundering the trade lanes.
Alcott Chartlon: "Commander, your hit-and-run operations are gaining to much notice. If our operations are perceived as anything other than the separate workings of a few unorganized remnant Death Eaters, the Ministry and its allies will increase their efforts to hunt as down.
- Alcott Charlton and Kelemen Gábor argue about what steps the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät should take during their meeting

Loyal to their master, Alcott Charlton and his comrades on the council - beneath the secret command of Igor Müsstler - plotted out their plans for an insurrection with careful precision, orchestrating the separate phases step-by-step. To overthrow the present administration under His Royal Highness King Muskar, the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät intended to steal the Sceptre of Ottokar IV - the symbolic symbol of his right to govern - in the hours before when tradition demanded that the crown ruler of Syldavia appear before his citizens with the artifact in hand. Knowing that, with the loss of his mantle, their national laws would demand Muskar abdicate from his throne, the Z.Z.R.K. intended to stir events that would bring the border between Syldavia and Borduria crashing down with an invasion that their allies within the latter government would initiate to annex the long-time rival, this action would thrust the two states into the hands of the Dragon Lord. Assigning the theft to Alfred Alembick, Charlton himself personally suggestion that one of their double agents of the royal court, Herr Czarlitz, provide aid in the theft by using his position as Royal Photographer to smuggle a spring-powered catapult concealed within the German wizard's camera, firing it to a location where other operatives could take over the task of transferring the Scepter to Borduria.

Along with the rest of the circle of leadership that governed the Z.Z.R.K., Alcott Charlton was summoned to discuss the plans for a coup d'état that was mere days from being instigated, meeting with the other leaders and Müsstler in a dimly lit area where the Z.Z.R.K. operatives discussed over wine the ongoing plans of their order while seated around the circular table. His wand besides him, hands palms down onto the polished wood of the table, Alcott chuckled in agreement as Nurkrus declared the day of their uprising was scheduled would become one of reckoning, then informed Müsstler that his numerous contacts had readied things per his instruction so that when the date of St. Vladimir's Day arrived, the hundreds of Death Eaters that were stationed in the Syldavian communities under the pretense of being innocent citizens would be ready to provide assistance in taking control of the numerous areas of significance that Müsstler had singled out for his accomplices to seize in their uprising, confidently assuring him that by the time night fell, Syldavia and Borduria would both lie beneath their control. As discussions turned to the level (or lack thereof) of caution taken by some members of the council in their ongoing operations, Alcott engaged in argument with Kelemen Gábor, during which he warned the criminal officer about the latter's hit-and-run operations to plunder Syldavian trade lanes, believing that this activities were gaining too much attention from Klow and Syldavian Ministry of Magic while warning the entire council that though the kingdom was still vulnerable for atack to his eyes, he still believed caution must be a crucial factor, which received agreement of some and disagreement of others. Urging Gábor that consider that if his movements were traced back to the Iron Guard, it could expose them as the political front for the insurrection and throw the command structure, raising his hand as he continued to urge a wearisome approach, then lowering them as he concluded.

The circle was also told of the threat of Blake Rainborn, which their agents within Belgium had alerted them to, and Alcott was concealed, reminding his more confident partners that Rainborn had provided significant aid to the fight against the Dragon Lord over the previous decades of war. He feared what might become if Blake became aware of the Z.Z.R.K., Müsstler acknowledged the concerns that Alcott Charlton offered as the discussions of his council progressed onto the danger that their activities were under threat from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistic Division, a fact that provoked visible anxieties throughout the entire council, though Müsstler reassured them that his countermeasures would mitigate the danger. Along with the rest of the roundtable council, Alcott Charlton concluded their meeting with raised glasses, hailing the Dragon Lord at a cheer and praising his longevity.

The plot was foiled, however, when Blake Rainborn was able to steal back the Sceptre and return it, securing from Kenjo Šobic in the process letters incriminating Igor Müsstler and his political part - the Iron Guard - as traitors and enemies of the state that, through further digging, revealed the Z.Z.R.K. to be a front for the Death Eaters and most of its members were arrested, Charlton presumably among them, and handed over to the magical government for trial and incarcaration in the Abyss.
