Andrew Kirke was a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1990s.
Biography[]
Hogwarts years[]
Kirke became a Beater on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, along with Jack Sloper, in 1995. They took over the positions after Fred and George Weasley were given a life-long ban from Quidditch by Dolores Umbridge (their bans were lifted right after Umbridge was removed from Hogwarts). Angelina Johnson, the team Captain, was unimpressed by Kirke and Sloper's performances during try-outs, but considered them to be better than the others who had tried out. Ron Weasley considered them to be dreadful players, even worse than he was.
During Gryffindor's quick defeat to Hufflepuff, Kirke had a pitiful performance; when Zacharias Smith flew in his direction carrying the Quaffle, Kirke shrieked and fell off his broomstick. Ginny Weasley caught the Golden Snitch twenty-two minutes into the match, causing Gryffindor to lose by only ten points.
Battle of Hogwarts[]

During the 1997-1998 year, Andrew participated in the Battle of Hogwarts where he was seen flying on his broomstick by the peloton led by Oliver Wood, battling a number of Voldermort's creatures that were invading the castle. During the attack, his broom was hit and he was forced to make an emergency landing, however he got very hurt because of the landing and could not fight anymore. Even having survived the battle, Kirke blamed himself for not being able to fight more and help his friends.
Leater life[]
It's not know much about Andrew's life after the Battle of Hogwarts, however it is known that he had a son named Larry who became captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
