Colin Jeffries is a pure-blood British wizard and the lord of an manor house that's lands lay within the boundaries of Great Britain. A secret member of the Worshippers of Night, Colin, though technically, as a Death Eater stationed with Britain, was under the subsequent command of Tom Riddle, did not fight among the Death Eaters ranks during their two separate attempts at a seizure of power, but focused his efforts instead on engineering the arrival of the Dragon Lord, the Death Eaters true master and who Colin, like all his comrades, regarded like a god. He subsequently took part in numerous lotteries held with the intent of selecting a member from the Worshippers to be sent through the Monolith to the Otherworld to serve their leader, though he was never the 'Traveller', as the selected was known as.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Born 1927 into a house of wizard lords, the Clan of Jeffries had over the centuries amassed an immense wealth with which they had purchased an stylish manor house upon an island off the coast of Scotland that belonged also to the Jeffries line, invisible to Muggle eyes and rendered Unplottable to the maps of their fellow wizards by generations of enchantments cast upon the grounds by Colin's forefathers over the centuries. Colin would eventually acquire a Aspen wand with a phoenix feather for a core, presumably from either Ollivander's Wand Shop in Diagon Alley or Wands by Gregorovitch at the Carkitt Market. He presumably attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in his youth.

Worshipper of the Dragon Lord[]

During his adult years, Colin would carry on to become a member of a cult of British aristocrats that, whilst displaying to the world the faces of men and women that were highly-respected and influential members of their community, were in secret reality part of the Death Eaters that worshipped their Human-Magicar leader, Isaac Nasser, known also as the Dragon Lord, and, though under the command of Tom Marvolo Riddle like all the many hundred Death Eaters spread throughout Great Britain, operated with the avowed aim of open the way for their master to return from the Otherworld, where he was reaping his war on the magical realms to unite each and every one into a single empire.

As the Magical Realms was not reachable by land or sea or sky, but rather by numerous portals that served as tears in the fabric that divides our world and theirs', one such portal being a monolith that was in the possession of the disciples, known among themselves as the Worshippers of Night — whose most illustrious and powerful members were distributed five stones, all extracted from the Monolith, as symbols of their devotion to 'the Great One', one of which came eventually to fall into the possession of Colin Jeffries — the Worshippers routinely gathered for meetings held in the homes of the society where they would hold a lottery; a stone would be drawn by each of the most acclaimed cultists from a bag continuing a single white stone among other black stones, which if produced, would single out that man or woman to be the wizard that would subsequently be taken to the chamber where the Monolith was held and which each disciple of Isaac had specially designed in their homes to house, which they were then sent through, the intent being to serve — if not return with — the master that was on the other side.

In the meanwhile, the disciples, like the other Death Eaters, sought to destabilize the Earth — in their case, Britain — using their wealth and influence to arrange circumstances to cumulate to their advantage as they sought to build the world so that when the coming of the Dragon Lord occurred, it would arrive to a world that had reached the point that it would be ready to claim by the Lord of the Dragons. Operating from the shadows rather than battling on the front when civil war broke out between Lord Voldemort and the many Death Eaters who rise to fight with him in his first attempt to seize power, Colin and his comrades in the cult, though they did not act as soldiers, played their political power to assist the insurrection and overthrowing of the Ministry of Magic, believing, despite being premature, the takeover of Britain would lessen any remaining defences the Muggle-Wizard world might throw up when the Dragon Lord invaded with the intent of uniting it into a single-government community, without prejudices and bigotry.

The First Wizarding War, however, would ultimately end in a defeat that was a blow for the Death Eaters, as though many members were able to escape punishment, several had left their loyalties to the Death Eaters dubious and several of their most important members, such as Bellatrix Lestrange, were incarcerated. Soon after the fall of Voldemort, therefore, the cult would proceed to gather for one of their frequent lotteries, held this time at a Scottish Castle that Colin Jeffries would venture from his home to attended. Having dined on a lavish meal before, after a speech given by Thornally Grairdno regarding the obligations the society had to it's master, the ceremony commenced, the assemblage of lords and ladies, Jeffries, seating patiently, rose with the rest from his chair to stand as the silken bag containing within it the collection of stones, one white, the rest black, was passed around, Colin, having accepted it from Manzini Échemoux, proceeded to pass on to Roscoe Dennison after pulling his clenched fist from the bag. After the last stone was pulled, Jeffries raised a slightly-trembling hand in unison with the other Worshippers to open his fist, palm up, to prove to his silent relief that the stone he had selected was black, glancing down to see the white one resting in the palm of Manzini's hand.

The purpose of the simple but deadly lottery fulfilled, Jeffries proceeded to stand at the back of the group of loyal worshippers, his head to one side slightly, as Manzini, gifted by Colin and his brothers and sisters-in-arms with supplies required to survive, was given by Grairdno a sword to see his through the journey, then parting grimly as Manzini was guided to the neighbouring Monolith Chamber, touching his sheathed wand without a word as Manzini suggested with desperation another option, then allowing his fingers to slacken as Manzini was thrust by Lord Thornally into the chamber, then barricaded in. Standing in subsequently silent as the screams prompted by the Monolith consuming Manzini, breathing deeply before and in the insuring silence, Colin glanced at Giles Astor as he inquired to Thornally about the chances of Manzini's return, making not a sound as Giles was told none had ever returned from the lands the Monolith led to.
