Daphne Lenora Warrington (née Greengrass) was a Pure-blood witch. She began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1991, the same year as Harry Potter, and was sorted into Slytherin house. And a sister named Astoria.

During her school years, she was part of Pansy Parkinson's "gang" of Slytherin girls, and shared a dormitory in Slytherin Dungeon with Pansy Parkinson, Lily Moon, Millicent Bulstrode and Tracey Davis. She was a member of the short-lived Inquisitorial Squad in early 1996 and took her O.W.L.s in 1996 at the same time as Hermione Granger and was later a member of the revived Dumbledore's Army. She has a younger sister, Astoria Greengrass, who eventually married Draco Malfoy She has a nephew, Scorpius by this marriage.

In the spring of 1996, Daphne was one of the members of the Inquisitorial Squad, formed by then-Headmistress Dolores Umbridge. She was one of the students that saw Fred and George Weasley flying away from school and cheered as the twins escaped. At the end of the school year, the Inquisitorial Squad was disbanded after Albus Dumbledore returned.

Unlike 1995, Daphne decided to join Dumbledore's Army and aided its members in freeing students who were to be tortured in the Dark Arts class and lead them to the secret entrance to the Room of Requirement (which she knew who to find thanks to a silver coin she used to contact Neville Longbottom) and writing out words like "DUMBLEDORE'S ARMY, STILL RECRUITING" on the castle walls.

During the last months of her seventh year when Voldermort took power over the school, Daphne was one of the Slytherins to refuse to practice dark magic. The Carrows punished her for her refusal, and was placed in the dungeons for a few hours. When Harry Potter returned, Daphne chose to fight against Voldermort and his army.

She held a disregard against Pansy who refused to fight and chose to deliver Harry to the Dark Lord. Pansy remained hidden while Daphne and Tracey fought in the Battle of Hogwarts. While Daphne was defending the hall, Tracey was immediately killed by one of the Death Eaters. Daphne avenged her friend's death by creating a spell to allow her to escape with Tracey's body. Daphne survived the first half of the battle and witness Voldemort's speech to the Hogwarts fighters, shouting abuse and insults at the Death Eaters before being re-energized by Neville and was among the battling forces that spilled out of the castle and into the village beyond. During these frequent skirmishes, Daphne dueled a man by the name of Rafleur Scabior, Scabior's death eater brother. During the duel Rafleur, cackling wildly, taunting her of her best friends death and after he killed her, he would kill her sister Astoria and her mother and father, who were both fighting for the Order, all the while screeching with insane laughter, until she blasted him back into the wall of Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop–quills & stationary in an attempt to knock him out but, it instead snapped his neck, killing him instantly. Despite his tauntings, Rafleur's death traumatized Daphne with the realization that she had killed someone. However, upon hearing the scream of a child, Daphne got to her feet, her wand held high as the rain from an incoming thunderstorm fell, announcing that she would make sure that no more innocent were killed, even if she had to fight You-Know-Who and a hundred death eaters herself, crying out that this was for her Family, for the muggles and wizarding community and whispering "for Tracey" before splashing off to rejoin the battles. After the battle ended, Daphne placed Tracey's body with the others. She was later seen talking with Millicent Bulstrode after the war ended. Daphne eventually married Cassius Warrington and became a information collector for the Auror Office as it hunted down escaping Death Eaters who were attempting to re-infultrated the community.
