""We must all do things that make us uncomfortable, if we are ever to get our toy soldiers of the shelf.""
—Dunja Meyer's firm commitment in the idea of global evolution

Dunja Meyer is a Syldavian quarter-Veela witch of Italian ancestry, the granddaughter of Parvati Meyer, a Veela, and her wizard husband. Dunja attended Castelobruxo in her youth as a foreign student, during which she became fascinated with the nature of humans, studying it as she sought to understand how the physiology of wizards and muggles might differ from those with the ancestry of other magical beings like herself. Her understanding of this enabled her to influence others to her advantage through trickery, manipulating and exploiting their principal natures.

Having graduated from Castelobruxo, Meyer returned to her homeland of Syldavia, where she was recruited to the Death Eaters, becoming a member of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, on whose behalf she joined the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, employing her natural persuasion skills as a defence attorney with a seat on the Wizengamot. Utilizing her position of the Wizengamot to pick and choose allies from criminals who's trials she beheld, Meyer recruited numerous convicts of the Syldavian State Penitentiary to the ideology of the Dragon Lord, who she loyally served as a double agent for, spying on the Ministry as she sought to help destabilize the country and it's government and remould it in the image of her master and his cause, believing wholeheartedly in his ideology of creating a unified world. Having been exposed in the aftermath of the attempted deposition of King Muskar XIII launched by Dunja's allies in the Z.Z.R.K., Dunja Meyer was subsequently detained by the Syldavian authorities as an associate of the subversive anarchist organization, but her lack of a role in their acts of violence led to a lighter sentence of house arrest being issued on her and the removal of her position on the Wizengamot.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Dunja was quarter-veela of Brazilian origins, and grew up in the kingdom of Syldavia, a minor nation in Europe. She grew up with her grandmother, Parvati, who would tell as a child tales of the Otherworld and the many majestic beings said to inhabit a world that was full of magic, yet aligned with their own world, where magic lived in hiding. Dunja's grandmother was full Veela who had immigrated from Brazil to Europe at a point in time that preceded Meyer's birth, and at some point contributed a hair that would later become the core element of Dunja's wand. During her childhood, the area around Dunja's hometown was plagued by the criminal biker group known as the Extranjero Calle Lacos until the ring was brought to justice.

Castelobruxo[]

Unlike many wizards of her country, who, as a result of Syldavia's lacking a magical institution, were instead home-schooled by relations or friends, Dunja was instead sent by her grandmother to receive her education overseas amid the Amazon rainforest, wherein lay the school grounds of Castelobruxo. Fascinated since childhood by the natures of humans and mankind's evolution throughout the ages, Dunja would avidly study the idea of evolution throughout her school years, curious as to what differences those of multi-species heritage like herself had to ordinary wizards, her research involving what dissimilarities lay within areas such as the genetic code of part-humans. The source of this interest lay with the fairy tales of her grandmother, which she and her kinsfolk believed were true and Dunja's beliefs led to her also coming to believe that the true evolution of humanity would be the access of magic to all, be they wizard or muggle.

Her devotion to her studies on the natural instincts of humans would cause her to discover the inborn ability that was that of a women with the observation skills that permitted her to swiftly determine the ruling factors of her classmates' natures. Extremely persuasive, Dunja was highly skilled at making people think that what they wanted was what she wanted. She used this skill as the key to consciously get inside others' heads whether it be by mood, emotion, sense of direction, perception, choice-making even strength of will. This ability was ultimately allowed her to escape the consequences of any incidents that had occurred during her school years and she would continue to employ it throughout her life.

Career at the Ministry[]

Ascension[]

After leaving Castelobruxo, Meyer returned to Syldavia, where she would quickly rose to influential positions in the Syldavian Ministry of Magic. She started her political career as an intern in the Improper Use of Magic Office. Before reaching age 30, she became the Head of the Office, evidence of her cunning tactics under her sweet attitude, which also involved a combination of beguiling the support of others and her own prodigious skill. This set up the beginning of her profession as an ambitious and opportunistic woman with the career of one that would eventually join the Wizengamot as a member.

When the wizarding world broke into conflict across the globe and the Dragon Lord led his Death Eaters in a fierce campaign with the aim of dismantling the International Statute of Secrecy, Syldavia remained largely unaffected, despite the conflicts, yet word of what the Lord of the Dragons was seeking to achieve spread fast through the magical community, garnering mixed results of opposition and support from the populace between those who were against the ideals or at least the activities of violence being carried out in it's name and those who believed in Nasser's ideology of creating a better world by reverting the political state of things to that of the aftermath of WW2 and considered him a legend and in Dunja's case, her alignment fell secretly into the category of the latter. Though she kept her feelings expertly concealed, Dunja and those among her colleagues that were like her regarded the Dragon Lord as both a hero and a freedom fighter and as a result, Dunja eventually came to begin working secretly for the branch of the Death Eaters operating within her country, which, led by Igor Müsstler, sought to destabilize the country and unify it with Borduria. Known as the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, the Death Eaters of Syldavia remained loyal to their master even after his first defeat and continued to grow their strength whilst at the same time preparing to dethrone King Muskar XIII. In addition to her role as a high-appointed spy, Dunja Meyer worked mainly as a recruiter due to her persuasion skills, approaching men and women she met who she recognised to bare the beliefs that aligned with those of the Z.Z.R.K., which ranged from colleagues of hers to even criminals who's trials she sat at as part of the Wizengamot.

Working for the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät[]

Visiting Eutropio[]

Having been contacted by a Z.Z.R.K. associate of hers from the Syldavian State Penitentiary, Khonten Biserka, Dunja was instructed to pay a call to the infamous Spanish criminal, Eutropio De la Vega, who recent observations made by the Death Eaters stationed among the prison staff as labelled a possible recruit, the task of which as assigned to Meyer, who was advised to exploit the man's desire for freedom and resentment of the magical governments of Spain and Syldavia to her advantage.

Following her orders, Dunja's position enabled her to gain access to the Penitentiary without obstacle and her request at a meeting with the Spanish crime lord was accepted swiftly under the pretence of discussing with Eutropio plans for an alleged retrial. Whilst striding into the visiting area, Dunja, dressed in a blue silk dress embroidered with silver threads, would receive from colleagues a email containing within it the information on De la Vega that could provide her the knowledge she needed to wind the crime lord around her finger, which the ministry worker, lips curling into a smile, absorbed with a swift scan, then pocketed as she seated herself to wait for Eutropio, who was soon brought to seat in front of her, the pair conversing a private intercom phone. Swiftly working to gain Eutropio's favour by greeting him with respect, revealing the knew well of his past as the leader of the Extranjero Calle Lacos, which the convict appreciated, noting Dunja must have been once a citizen of the Syldavian town that were once his victims, something Dunja only smiled at. Informing Eutropio she knew full well of his resentment towards her government, then reassuring him calmly as he reacted with blustering violence, Dunja's answer to Eutropio's demands regarding her identity with three simple words: "I'm a friend". Her claims of being able to restore the glory Eutropio had once bore with pride met with sneers, Dunja made as if to depart, collecting her clipboard and coldly labelling Eutropio De la Vega a disappointment, but the was barely fiv steps from the desk when she was called back, which she accepted, though not before concealing her triumphant smile.

Informing Eutropio at his inquiries that what she was offering him both his chance at redemption and a path back to glory, Dunja continued with the mysterious explanation regarding where her allegiance lay, explaining it to belong to a being always interested, as she claimed, in conscripting to his service those with promise, declaring him a master far greater than crime itself. When more information was demanded from her however, Dunja refused to provide it, instead reprimanding Eutropio for the slightly mocking tone of which he spoke with while inquiring to the identity of 'the Master', warning him that were he to enlist, there would be laws he would have to abide by. Concluding that discomfort was something they all would have to feel as they performed acts in the Z.Z.R.K.'s name, she asked bluntly then if the two had a deal, which Eutropio relented to, informing the Spanish wizard when he asked when he would again be free that his agreement had signed him on to his own future, but that he must wait first for the right time. Told that Eutropio liked her attire, Meyer, on her feet now but leaning in to reply, whispered into the intercom phone that she knew he did, then departed.

Eutropio was not the only convict Dunja Meyer recruited to the cause of the Zyldav Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät from incarceration and she served as one of their most major sources of contact from the outside world, frequently serving the role of messenger between those like Eutropio and his new allies, her leaders, and relaying orders and information to the imprisoned recruits, including one in which she gave the order for the jailbird forces to stand by for the order that would be their signal to instigate a riot that was a plan readied in the case of any of the capture of any of Meyer's colleagues involved in their plot to force King Muskar XIII to abdicate by stealing the Scepter of Ottokar IV and orchestrate the annexation of Syldavia with Borduria.

Arrest and Sentence[]

The conspiracy of the Z.Z.R.K. failed, thanks to the efforts of Blake Rainborn, who succeeded in securing back the Scepter from the hands of the Bordurian criminals assigned to the task of removing the artifact of royal power from Syldavian soil, discovering papers containing evidence incriminating Igor Müsstler and the Iron Guard as traitors, subversives and both servants of the Dragon Lord and followers of his egalitarian ideals, resulting in a vast investigation that exposed the majority of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät and it's supporters, who the Syldavian Ministry of Magic proceeded to round up, including Dunja. Unlike the majorities of her allies when put on trial, however, the services she had provided the Ministry over the years and the fact that no evidence tied her to the violent acts of the Z.Z.R.K., identifying her as merely a spy and believer of changing the world for the better, worked in her favour and rather than be imprisoned in the Abyss, Meyer was instead stripped of her rank and positions, but sentenced to several years of house arrest, with the warning that any continued activities as an anarchist would have her thrown immediately into the Abyss without a trial.
