Gisela Marinette Sencen (b. 1965) is an English pure-blood dark witch, a Polyglot and Conjurer, and a member of the noble Sencen family, holding the aristocratic title of Lady, although she concealed the latter of her two abilities because of her belief about it being better to be underestimated by her enemies. She was originally a high-ranking member of the Death Eaters that served as one of the key leaders to their clandestine insurrection during the Third Global Wizarding War until her eventual removal from power, as well as the estranged wife of Lord Cassius Sencen, with whom she had a single son with: Flash Sencen, who became essential to the machinations of his mother, who worked to fulfil the enigmatic "legacy" that she had envisioned for her son.
Although she entered into a union with Cassius Sencen that Gisela purposefully arranged for herself after graduating from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, despite their wedding and her resultant pregnancy, she harboured little genuine love for her husband, having based her marriage decisions solely because of the obligations that her parents imposed because of their wizarding supremacist standards — which was an opinion that Gisela maintained, believing that magic was an inherent birthright for those that were destined for greatness — and the needs of her own formative schemes. Shortly before her pregnancy, Gisela secretly joined the Death Eaters without the knowledge of her husband, rising to become a central figure to their rebellion against the International Confederation of Wizards, which she used to further a plan that she labelled the 'Lodestar Initiative', which revolved around Flash Sencen, who she saw as the crucial piece in her plans to solve certain issues in the wizarding world. To this end, Gisela, who had shaped her plans from inspiration taken off the research conducted by Vespera Folend, had made alterations prior to her son's birth that would strengthen his abilities and enable her to trigger a "transformation" wherein which he could manifest new abilities.
