Igor Stassanov is a Syldavian pure-blood wizard and a high-ranking operative of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät. A member who infiltrated the Royal Court, Igor's position of an ambassador of Syldavia led to him working abroad on numerous occasions, which he carried out with efficiency, while also covertly he aided the deep-rooted conspiracy to reshape the world within the Dragon Lord's image, as he quietly relayed messages concerning what was the Z.Z.R.K.'s plans at a seizure of power to other cells of Death Eaters throughout the globe. Stassanov also recruited to the Z.Z.R.K. the services of Alfred Alembick during a meeting of the I.S.A., becoming a close friend of the professor.
The attempt made by the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät at a coup d'état issued in the name of causing the annexation of Syldavia with Borduria, however, was thwarted by the efforts of Blake Rainborn, who exposed the network of the Z.Z.R.K., including Igor Stassanov, who was presumably either arrested for his part at an attempt against the crown or killed resisting arrest for his acts of treason.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
A wizard born in the country of Syldavia, Igor was raised within an ancient family with strong ties of influence to the magical government of the nation, which was crucial in position he would achieve in later years. Home-schooled in his magical education, Igor was brought up by his clan in an atmosphere where he was educated frequently in the arts of diplomacy and climbing the ranks, which he employed in his life.
Having risen to the position of an ambassador of the Syldavian Ministry of Magic, Stassanov acted frequently as a representative of his country that sat at the table of the International Confederation of Wizards, working in numerous trade agreements where he proved himself a charismatic and shrewd emissary with a long history of successful trade agreements behind him, earning him the faith and trust not only of his wizard superiors, but also that the Royal Family, giving him a strong influence he wielded firmly and with unspoken ruthlessness, Stassanov having once even campaigned in an election for the position of Minister for Magic, though he ultimately emerged an unsuccessful candidate.
Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät[]
The position Igor Stassanov maintained as a diplomatic representative of his government led him to working frequently with the Royal Ambassador of Syldavia himself, Igor Müsstler, a man who he shared a mutual respect for and thought unconfirmed, it might very well having been this that led to the affiliation that Stassanov secretly came to have with the forces of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät — known otherwise as the Z.Z.R.K. — a local cell of the Death Eaters organized with the aim of assisting their master and idol, the Dragon Lord, in his self-proclaimed mission of defying the governments of the world as he sought to depose the International Statute of Secrecy and create a unified world order, by molding Syldavia and Borduria into nation groomed and ready to join Stassanov's master.

Stassanov's past with his close friend Alfred Alembick
Among the duties to both Syldavia and the secret forces of the Z.Z.R.K. that Igor Stassanov carried out beyond the nation's borders was to attend a conference of the International Sigilographical Association hosted in Belgrade, Serbia during 1974, where he met Professor Alfred Alembick, a well-respected scholar of Sigilography with whom Igor established a significant friendship with, both wizards considering the other a close compadre, Igor issuing a letter of introduction enclosed within it permits allowing Alfred to study artefacts held within the national archives of Klow, events that would lead eventually to the induction of Alfred Alembick to the ranks of the Z.Z.R.K., becoming a key player in their conspiracy to steal the Scepter of Ottokar IV. Though Alfred, Igor would also come to be acquainted with his friend's twin, Hector.
Supreme Mugwump Election[]
Tea Ceremony[]
Acting as one of the individuals sent to represent the wizarding government of Syldavia, Igor Stassanov would travel to the German Ministry of Magic in Berlin to bare witness to the oncoming election of the next Supreme Mugwump, during which Stassanov would attend an evening tea ceremony hosted by the German Ministry of Magic on behalf of his government. Speaking with several other officials of varying nationalities before the ceremony commenced with the arrival of Anton Vogel, whom Stassanov greeted with a half-bow, declaring the chance to be present a pleasure as he shook the German Minister by the hand, then turning to speak briefly to the LeafWing woman besides him with a smile, adjusting his monocle as he spoke, hands clasped together before him as the two officials walked forwards to join the assemblage called to order by Vogel as he took the stage with his entourage. Listening with silence as Anton Vogel greeted the witches and wizards present as colleagues, friends and foes, the last title Igor answered to with a chuckle before falling again into silence, applauding politely to introductions given both to Liu Tao and Vicência Santos, then nodding in agreement as Vogel declared the peaceful transfer of power through the matter of voting was what indicated their people's shared humanity and indicated all voices deserved to be heard.

Stassanov, among the attendees of the tea ceremony, listens to Anton Vogel's speech
Stroking his beard in an appeared show of thoughtfulness, as he listened with white-haired, moustachioed governor at the right side of the crowd, the two were passed by Princess Darkness and Perseus Scamander, but Igor continued to maintain his cover, concealing his triumph with the practice of a master as Vogel proceeded to absolve the Dragon Lord of his crimes on the grounds of insufficient evidence and watching without reaction as Perseus attempted to take Darkness and a band of the Dragon Lord's other servants into custody, only to be instead apprehended by corrupt German Aurors, after which Igor proceeded to join the mass exodus of chattering guests streaming from the hall, watching from a balcony as the Death Eaters fired the mark of the Dragon Lord into the sky in celebration, again securing his monocle as it began to slide.
Candidates' Dinner[]

Stassanov beholds the arrival of his true dark master
The night that followed, Igor Stassanov, now dressed in a black tuxedo trimmed with gold and emblazoned with the Syldavian crest, his beard stylized, attended an exclusive dinner hosted in honour of the three candidates now running in the election for supreme leader of the magical world: Lui Tao, Vicência Santos and (through his corrupt deals with the Ministry) Igor's master, Isaac Nasser, known otherwise as the Lord of the Dragons. Dining on a lavish dinner, Stassanov, seated opposite of the Minister of Magic of Norway, gave the tiny waves Edith was directing at the nearby Jacob Kowalski a look of slightly-raised eyebrows in answer, opening his mouth to comment only to be cut off suddenly as the soft violin music chiming through the hall came to a screeching halt. Turning with the rest of the diners in an immediate silent as the door opened to welcome the Dragon Lord, Darkness and their party of disciples, Stassanov's gaze then followed the group as, after a moments pause, then advanced into the grand chamber, adjusting his seating posture to continuing watching the dark wizard that was in truth his master as he and his followers strode silently past him to greet Santos, then take their seats, acknowledging their arrival with a nod that seemed to those around his uncertain.
The gala, however, flew into sudden chaos, however, when a confrontation made by Kowalski against the Dragon Lord for his manipulation of Queenie Nightingale was called out by the Norwegian Ministry of Magic as an assassination attempt, forcing Kuvira d'Lestrange to nonverbally cause at to appear as if Jacob had conjured for a storm, forcing all the guests, Stassanov included, to evacuate. Rising to his feet, Igor Stassanov proceeded to offer a hand to his neighbour, guiding the woman towards an exit in a gentlemanly fashion, then permitting her to exit first before departing himself, glancing contemptuously behind him as he and the witch strode away, conversing with several hand gestrues.
Theft of King Ottokar's Scepter[]
Despite the Dragon Lord's failure to succeed in attaining from Vogel the position of Supreme Mugwump and his eventual defeat, exiling him to his own realm in the Empire of Night, his followers remained dedicated to him and their ideology, continuing to operate in the shadows with the avowed aim of grooming the world to one ready and willing to accept the Dark Lord as it's leader. As part of this global conspiracy, the Z.Z.R.K. continued with their plans to orchestrate the annexation of Syldavia with neighbouring Borduria, a country already under their control, intending to engineer a series of events that would turn the public of Syldavia against King Muskar XIII and ultimately force him to abdicate by stealing the Scepter of Ottokar IV on the eve of St. Vladimir's Day. A key pawn in the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät's game plans at a coup d'état in his home country, Igor Stassanov would promise to Hector Alembick to ensure him letters of introduction that would permit him to study the artefacts of the country at Klow and with the promise of personally vouching for Hector before the court. In reality, however, the Z.Z.R.K. intended to abduct Hector and have Alfred impersonate his twin, thus allowing him to use both the recommendations and influence that came with the support of the Ambassador of the Syldavian Ministry of Magic behind him to get close enough for him and his accomplices to steal from Kropow Castle the Scepter, whilst also preserving Igor's good name if caught.
Though the theft of the Scepter was executed personally, albeit at the price of Alembick and Herr Czarlitz being detained briefly in the Syldavian State Penitentiary until they escaped with the aid of agents of the Z.Z.R.K. stationed there, the three criminals whose task it was to transfer the Scepter across the border and into the hands of the Death Eaters of Borduria were intercepted by Blake Rainborn, who also discovered papers incriminating the Iron Guard and Igor Müsstler as traitors to the crown and, after further investigation, servants of the Enemy in the Northern Empire. As a result, Müsstler's Manor House was raided during a investigation into the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät and not only were Müsstler and Alfred Alembick both apprehended and arrested, but evidence was secured incriminating many accomplices of high rank in both the Z.Z.R.K.'s ranks and the wizarding society of Syldavia, including a notebook containing within it's pages evidence linking Igor Stassanov (who Alfred had labelled a close friend of his) both to the Z.Z.R.K.-Borduria conspiracy and the recruitment of Alfred Alembick to their order, as well as to the abduction of Hector. With this in hand, Stassanov was presumably arrested for the corruption as a willing participant of the foiled plot to steal the Ottokar Sceptre and incarcerated along with the majority of his allies in the Abyss.
