Maxine O'Flaherty was a Beater on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team when it was captained by Cedric Diggory. She fought in the Battle of Hogwarts at the Skirmish in the Viaduct Courtyard, where she and both, Ginny Weasley and Duncan Inglebee, fought off waves of Death Eaters. However, they had to retreat into the castle to prevent getting hit by explosive spells. Maxine survived the battle. However she later died of blood poisoning froma venamous pkant in her garden
