Nguyễn Mộng Vi was a Vietnamese dark witch that belonged to a mysterious coven of similarly aligned spellweavers that was led by Antoniatou Eirini. As a member of Eirini’s clique, Nguyễn also served in the Ice Talon League as an agent, although, unlike her leader, Nguyễn’s inner left forearm lacked the Dark Mark that would have identified her as an official Death Eater. Loyal to the League of the Ice Talons, early into its war against the Kielian League, Nguyễn Mộng Vi assisted Antoniatou Eirini in her conspiracy to seize control of Kisečište Academy for Sorcery, which was thwarted by the timely intervention of Mildred Hyina, a young student that had interfered with the coven’s designs for the school on a previous occasion, which saw the entire attack force transfigured temporarily into snails.

Biography[]

Dragon Lord draws his weapon in front of Orazira

Nguyễn's studies into the Malvago Order led her to discovering that the Dragon Lord (depicted above) was one such individual.

Born to a woman in Vietnam, Nguyễn Mộng Vi was infrequently the target for physical abuse inflicted upon her by a rage-driven mother that Vi reflected back on with intense bitterness whenever she recalled the years of her early life. Having eventually gone abroad and far away from where she had once called a village home, Nguyễn gradually developed strong fascination with the Dark Arts, the previous emotional trauma that she had endured as a child causing her to gravitate towards the fouler concepts of magic in the futile pursuit of the riches that she sought with the deluded belief in her mind that to have power would satiate the gaping hole left behind by the pain her family had inflicted upon her. During the self-proclaimed pilgrimage that the Vietnamese witch undertook in this pursuit of material wealth, Nguyễn Mộng Vi eventually stumbled upon knowledge that offered her with the vaguest definition for the lost word ‘Malvago’. Though her initial discovery only provided Vi with the broadest definition given for the concept, which related to an ancient legacy steepled inside the Darkest Arts that continued into the present century, the order of dark sorcerers passing down their knowledge through their law that stipulated a rule that Nguyễn learnt demanded that only two existed at any given time, one to teach, the other to learn.

Understanding that she did not possess the needed abilities to become the latter, the dark witch eventually recognised that the wizarding revolutionary known as the Dragon Lord had been one such being before rising to become a master and entered into the fold of one of his servants, Lady Antoniatou Eirini, who had previously been briefly trained as an Malvago assassin before rising, first to become a high-ranking operative of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, then the leader to one of the splinter factions that emerged from its disintegration in 2027, which she reshaped into a coven for her to command. Although not the veteran from the Z.Z.R.K. that many of Antoniatou Eirini’s lieutenants were, Nguyễn Mộng Vi nonetheless eventually became one of her leader’s most trusted hands and even given some insight into her previous allegiances to the dark order, despite the fact that Vi was never given the Mark of the Wolf that was branded upon the inner left forearm of every Death Eater. Loyal to the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, Eirini’s coven developed ties to its burgeoning successor, the League of the Ice Talons, which became locked in a period of warfare with the Kielian League. Early into this conflict, the entire clique was mustered by its mistress to participate in an aggressive and militaristic-styled offensive launched against Kisečište Academy for Sorcery, which driven both by the strategic value that control of the fiercely independent wizarding institute posed to the war effort and the personal vendetta that drove Madame Eirini in her expressed desire to seize authority over the Academy from her enemy twin, Ada. Amassing inside the outlying woodlands that surrounded the castle grounds while its disguised leader infiltrated the school management under the guise of being a prospective professor named 'Miss Marble', Nguyễn Mộng Vi and the other Death Eaters belonging to the assembly intended to stage their attack in the early hours of their target's third day in the term, bypassing the magical defences through the backyard gates when Antoniatou used the abilities granted to her as a member of the teachers to provide the dark witches with the opening needed for them to pass through into the centre of learning. Sweeping through the dormatories of students and staff alike, mercilessly transfiguring any sleeping individual that they crossed into snails (an idea of their leader's that was inspired from the defeat that she had suffered when her previous attempt to usurp academic authority), when the time came for the Z.Z.R.K.-aligned clique to strike, however, Nguyễn Mộng Vi and her sisterhood found themselves the victims for a crushing defeat at the hands of their intended victims, including Mildred Hyina, the girl who had earned Antoniatou Eirini's implacable loathing after she had thwarted her previous conspiracy. In the dark about their sorority leader's capture minutes before, the wicked spellcasters therefore found themselves ushered into the outlying courtyard by a woman identical to her, but who was in reality Headmistress Ada. Upon stepping into the parkgrounds, however, the very humility that Mộng Vi had intended to inflict upon the school inhabitants—transformation into a common garden snail—was what she and the Ice Talon forces themselves suffered. Warped into the slow moving creature and stripped of her wand, Nguyễn and the rest of Antoniatou's army were subsequently secured within several shoeboxes that were then transferred to the Headmaster's Office, awaiting the Aurors of the Kielian League summoned to take the dark forces into custody for their open collaboration with the League of the Ice Talons.
