King Ottokar IV was the King of Syldavia in the late 14ᵗʰ century, ascending to the throne in 1370. His reign proved to be one of immense prosperity for the Kingdom as Ottakar ensured the regained stability of the Kingdom, uniting the quarreling, power-hungry noble class through the force of his will and character. As a result of his legendary defeat of the arrogant Baron Staszrvitch, the Scepter of Ottakar IV came to be the symbol of power for his descendants and to this day, the legacy of Ottakar continues in the tradition that the King or Queen of Syldavia must show themselves to the common populace with the Scepter of Ottakar IV, least their right to the crown by abolished, leaving to it being a target for theft by the Death Eaters that composed the Z.Z.R.K., otherwise known as the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät, in their efforts to establish the Empire of Night, which was thwarted by Blake Rainborn.
