Biography[]
Early life[]
Perdita Vaisey was born on 6 May, 1962, in Gravesend, Kent, England. She was born into the pure-blooded Vaisey family, who believed in pure-blood supremacy. Gravesend, the town in which she was born, is an ancient town in northwest Kent, England, situated 21 miles (35 km) east-southeast of Charing Cross (central London) on the south bank of the Thames Estuary and opposite Tilbury in Essex. Located in the diocese of Rochester, it is the administrative centre of the Borough of Gravesham.
Vaisey was a temperamental child who exhibited violent behavior toward her younger sister, Thierra, but was very caring towards her younger brother, Jacob. She allegedly threatened to kill a babysitter with scissors and attempted to batter her psychiatrist, who accused her of "acting out" for attention.
Hogwarts years[]
Perdita Vaisey received her Hogwarts letter in the summer of 1973. That same summer, she visited Diagon Alley, located in London, and her father bought her a wand, which was made of silver lime and unicorn hair from Ollivander's Wand Shop. On 1 September, 1973, she boarded the train for Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin House that same night.
Vaisey may have been a member of a gang of Slytherins and aspiring Death Eaters that included Severus Snape, Avery, Mulciber, and Evan Rosier. They all entered the service of Lord Voldemort during the height of the First Wizarding War. Her boyfriend, Stefan Wilkes, was among them.
Vaisey left home at seventeen and stayed with the Wilkes during the summer before she left Hogwarts. It is believed that during this time, she was introduced to Lord Voldemort.
She left Hogwarts in June of 1980, after completing her seventh year.
Summer of 1980[]
After being fired from her first job on the first day, she began financing herself by stealing from her family, the Vaiseys, and dealing drugs. She had already entered the service of Lord Voldemort with her boyfriend, Stefan Wilkes, and the couple soon moved in together.
She and Wilkes directly participated in the Battle of Montrose on 22 August, 1980, and it is believed that she and Wilkes helped murder the Inglebees, a family of four, including Euan Inglebee, 34, Moira Inglebee, 32, Elisabeth Inglebee, aged 15, and Holly Inglebee, aged 10.

- —The Daily Prophet's Evening Edition reporting on Vaisey's death, 25 Nov. 1980
Perdita Vaisey was killed in battle on 25 November, 1980, in Normanby le Wold, Lincolnshire, England. After her boyfriend, Stefan Wilkes' death, their personal effects were kept as evidence by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. They had no family that would claim them.
Etymology[]
The name was first coined by Shakespeare for one of the heroines of The Winter's Tale (1623), derived as the feminine form of the Latin perditus. In the play, the heroine was abandoned and her mother gave the name to her as it meant 'lost'.
