Savage was an Auror who was stationed in Hogsmeade along with Nymphadora Tonks, John Dawlish, and Proudfoot in order to increase security at Hogwarts in 1996. After the war, Savage was promoted to head of the Auror Office, replacing Servilia Crouch. For some reason, in 2007 he resigned and then was replaced by Harry Potter.
