- Perseus Scamander: "Well, if you insist on being the most beautiful woman in the room."
- Ophelia Brown: "It's not that, and you know it. It's all blood with Yaxley."

Taurine Yaxley was a British wizard born into the prominent pure-blood Yaxley family, and a proponent of pure-blood values.
Biography[]
- "Return, great avenger, with wings, from the water. Congratulations, Ophelia. Your sister lives. We all truly believe it."
- — Yaxley in Ophelia's ear
In 2003, Yaxley attended a wizarding ball with his wife and was busy socialising with Shafiq when the pair was greeted by Perseus Scamander. Scamander embraced Shafiq and then shook hands with Yaxley as he introduced him to his wife. In the early September of the same year of his speaking with Ophelia regarding to predictions of Tycho Dodonus, Yaxley was receptive to the Dark Lord's call, summoning his Parisian followers to a gathering in the Lestrange Mausoleum on the Père-Lachaise Cemetery.
There, he with thousands of other amassed wizards, witches and various magical beings gathered applauded as the Dragon Lord entered before falling into rapt silence as the Dark Wizard addressed his supporters, denying the belief he loathed Muggles and describing the world that magic exposed could make for all humanity. Like all of those present, Yaxley was horrified by the vision of a third Muggle World War, even more bloody that the last, that the Lord of Dragon summoned forth,
